Encountering heretical teaching in the church is nothing new. Here’s Paul’s response to heretical teaching in a letter he wrote to the people of Galatia, “But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed. For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.” (Galatians‬ ‭1‬:‭8‬-‭10‬ ) As Christ followers, we’re called to filter the things we see and hear through the lens of Jesus’ teachings.

Love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness, goodness, self-control. I’ve been so burdened to purposefully pray for our nation. So much evil is being exposed. And it’s become so very clear that we’re in the midst of a literal spiritual war. And though it can sometimes feel so far out of our control, we are not powerless in Jesus name. We’re just not. So I have an alarm set on my phone for 2:50 everyday to pause and pray. (Signifying the 250th anniversary of the USA) Sometimes I pray for a minute. Sometimes I pray for extended period of time. But I would love for you to join me.
