Here’s what I know. I know that what we think holds a lot of power. The things we think about affect what we say, what we do, what we feel, and what we believe. It’s just how God designed us.
But we have a problem: we tend to think on untrue things.
It’s not that we just think unhealthy things or unreasonable things or unhelpful things. Though I can sometimes think on all of those “un” things. We’re prone to think untrue things.
Untrue things about God.
Untrue things about ourselves.
Untrue things about our future.
And do you know what happens when we spend our time thinking on untrue things? We’ll wake up one day and realize that we’ve become fearful, worried, and joyless. But God really does mean for us to experience more than that.
Jesus came to give us hope in death. But He also came to give us power in life. And one of the things He empowers us to do is to take our thoughts captive to what’s actually true.
Life’s too short to stay stuck in untrue thinking. Join me on a journey to think true things.
